     1.   Enable WPA2 security


This is the first step you can do by setting your wifi security to WPA2
Lots of old routers have WEP security, But trust me this is easily able to hack. So always go for WPA2 security

2.   Create a strong network name


Don’t use your default wifi name like D-link, Netgear, tenda etc.
Always change your wifi name because hackers have lots of tools to hack your wifi by knowing of your default wifi name.

3.   Use a strong password


Well, when talks about security the first steps always came in mind that be a password. Always use a strong password don’t use a simple password like 987654321, 123456789, qwerty etc these type of password are easy to hack by using a long and strong password you can protect your wifi from lots of hackers.


 4.    Change your password every month


If you change your password monthly then it becomes difficult for hackers to crack your wifi password.

5.   Use firewall in your router

Well, not every router has firewall inbuilt protection but lots of latest router has a firewall and also new router comes with inbuilt stealth mode firewall.

6.   Enable  logging feature in the router

By using logging features in your router you can keep tracking suspicious activity. And it also gives you all the connection attempt details.

7.   Don’t share your wifi password

By don’t share your wifi password with unknown persons you can protect your wifi from hacking.
